Terms of Use for TouchEdit

By using TouchEdit, you agree to the following terms:

Use of the App

  1. TouchEdit is provided "as is" without any warranties.
  2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Apple Account and your devices.
  3. The developer is not responsible for any data loss that may occur while using the app.

Your Documents

  1. You retain ownership of the documents, images, and other content you create or open in TouchEdit.
  2. That content is stored on your devices, in your own iCloud Drive, or in folders you have chosen. You are solely responsible for it, including for keeping backups.
  3. Your documents remain plain-text Markdown files, or TextBundle packages containing Markdown and the images you insert. You can open, copy, or move them with any other app at any time.

Markdown Rendering

Markdown is a text format, and different apps interpret it differently. A document may look different when previewed in TouchEdit than it does in another editor or publishing tool, and we do not warrant that any particular rendering will match.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  1. Use the app for any illegal purposes.
  2. Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality.

Intellectual Property

TouchEdit and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Shaomeng Zhang and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This does not extend to the documents you create, which remain yours.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the app at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time without notice. By using TouchEdit, you agree to be bound by the current version of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Data Loss

The developer is not responsible for any data loss that may occur while using TouchEdit, including documents that fail to sync through iCloud or that are changed by another app with access to the same folder. Use the app at your own risk, and keep backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
